Changing Your Information and Mortgage Satisfaction
Property Owners are responsible to ensure that property information is up-to-date with the Tax Receiver's Office and your Incorporated Village (if applicable)
Reminder: When buying or changing ownership, property owners must notify the Tax Office
Mortgage
Whenever you satisfy your mortgage or make any changes to your mortgage escrow account, i.e. refinance, get a new loan, or change banks, please notify the Tax Receiver's Office and your Incorporated Village (if applicable) to ensure that tax bills are sent to you or the correct location, thus avoiding late fees and penalties. It is important to keep your bank information current.
Billing
Whenever you move, or have any other change in billing address, please be sure to notify the Tax Receiver's office and your Incorporated Village (if applicable) to ensure that tax bills are sent to the correct location, thus avoiding late fees and penalties.
Changes to your property tax information can be made by choosing ONE of the following options:
- Print and fill out the Change Form – Fax, email or mail it to us (See below for fax number, email address and mailing address. ).
OR
- Fill out the reverse side of a (tax bill) payment stub.
OR
- Send us a letter with required information listed below.
All changes must include:
- Complete Name of Owner(s)
- The Legal Property Tax Map Number [School District, Section, Block, Lot(Condos include building number CA___ and Unit Number)]
- Property Address, City, State, and Zip Code
- Telephone Number (of person requesting change)

Please allow several weeks for changes to take effect. If a tax deadline is near, please call for the tax amount due and send your check with the change to avoid late payments and penalties.
