COVID-19 Outdoor Accommodations
Temporary Outdoor Dining
The Town of North Hempstead is temporarily
allowing restaurants and food service establishments an additional way
to expand their operations outdoors during the timeframe in which such
establishments are subject to reduced interior occupancy or density
restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
To apply for temporary outdoor dining, please visit MyToNH for the application. After registering and logging in, select "COVID-19 Outdoor Accommodations" under Other Permits and Licenses.

Temporary Expanded Outdoor Use
The Town of North
Hempstead is temporarily allowing businesses and organizations, including gyms,
fitness centers, barbershops, hair salons, personal care services and religious
institutions, an additional way to expand their operations outdoors during the
timeframe in which such establishments are subject to reduced interior
occupancy or density restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
To apply for temporary expanded outdoor use, please visit the MyToNH for the application. After registering and logging in, select "COVID-19 Outdoor Accommodations" under Other Permits and Licenses.

Submission of Completed Outdoor Dining Applications and/or Expanded Outdoor Use Permit Applications
Completed temporary Outdoor Dining and/or Expanded Use permit applications may be submitted to the Building Department in the following manner:
• Online at MyToNH.com after registering and logging in.
• By mail addressed to the Building Department at: 210 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York 11030
• In person, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please visit MyToNH.com and click on Contact Us to schedule an appointment.
