About Us
The Town of North Hempstead Disability Advisory Committee was created to act as an added support system to residents with disabilities, their families and caregivers within the Town. The DAC will serve to disseminate information to people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers as well as to work to ensure that all citizens are connected to resources and services. The DAC will express concerns of the disability community, recommend possible solutions, and convey such recommendations to the appropriate government body. The overall goal of the committee is to improve the quality of community life and promote individuality.
