A wealth of natural beauty, scenic parks and Gold Coast mansions make the Town of North Hempstead one of the premiere filming locations in the Nation. By car, it is just 14.5 miles away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. From the leafy residential neighborhoods of Roslyn to the thoroughfares of Great Neck, North Hempstead fits the needs of films, television shows and commercials.

The Town of North Hempstead occupies 58 square miles. It is bounded on the north by the Long Island Sound, to the south by the Town of Hempstead, to the west by the borough of Queens, and to the east by the Town of Oyster Bay. Its northern land boundaries are extensively arranged along the Little Neck and Manhasset Bays, and Hempstead Harbor.

The governing body is headed by the Town Supervisor,  Jennifer DeSena and six Town Board members: Robert Trioano Jr., Edward Scott, Dennis J.Walsh, Christine Liu, David A. Adhami, and Mariann Dalimonte. The Town Clerk is Ragini Srivastava and the Receiver of Taxes is Mary Jo Collins.

Film & TV Tax Incentives

New York State offers several programs in the form of tax credits and sales tax exemptions to the film and television industry. These incentives are offered to qualified production companies that produce feature films, television series, relocated television series, television pilots, films for television, and/or incur post-production costs associated with the original creation of these productions. Base fee for filming occurring between the hours of 7:30AM and 9:00PM

Five hundred ($500.00) dollars per day of filming
