• The New York State Attorney General's Homeowner Protection Program (HOPP) funds a network of more than 85 assist trusted partners dedicated to providing home owners with free, qualified mortgage assistance relief services across New York.  Contact them by phone at 855-HOME-456 or online at www.AGScamHelp.com
• The Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. provides FREE default and foreclosure prevention counseling.  Counseling is available in English and Spanish as well as over 150 other languages.  Call (631) 435-4710 for an appointment. 
• The New York State Mortgage Assistance Program is administered by the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, a non-profit organization that promotes and protects affordable homeownership.  Loans are made by Sustainable Neighborhoods LLC,  Before applying to the program, we strongly recommend you first contact a non-profit  housing counseling or legal services organization that can assess whether you are eligible.  For a referral to a government-vetted foreclosure professional in your community, contact HOPP at 855-HOME-456.
